The core principles of Islamic development work

I saw a very nice lecture on Islamic finance and it's link with development work by Ajaz Ahmed Khan of CARE international. Appearently the total amount of investment in development work by Islamic countries reaches 15% of the global total. One of the topics mr. Khan adressed was the question whether there's a specifity in the goals and practice of Islamic development.

He showed this slide:

As a Gandhian I could therefore be not more pleased and convinced that religion is most certainly a potential force to reach a truly ethical development work.

So I'm still not a Muslim, but I once again have to admit that that Muhammad (pbuh) had figured quite a few things.
